This policy explains the cookies and local storage Fuel Checker uses, and how to control them. We keep them to the minimum needed to run the service and understand how it is used.
Last updated June 2026.
Cookies and local storage are small pieces of data saved by your browser. We use them to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure usage anonymously. We do not use advertising cookies.
Authentication cookies keep you signed in to your account and are required for accounts to work. Without them you would have to sign in on every page.
We store your fuel grade, VAT (inclusive or exclusive) preference and any guest favourites in local storage in your browser so the app remembers how you like it. These never leave your device unless you create an account to sync them.
We use privacy-friendly analytics (OpenPanel) to count visits and feature use in aggregate. These do not identify you and are not shared with advertisers.
You can clear or block cookies and local storage at any time using the privacy settings in your browser. Blocking essential cookies will sign you out and stop account features from working; blocking analytics has no effect on the features you use.
