EV charging is coming to Fuel Checker
Fuel Checker started with pumps, but plenty of you drive electric or are about to. We are building charging into the same map you already use for petrol and diesel - here is what is coming.
Charge points on the map
You will be able to see public charge points alongside forecourts, filtered by connector type and speed - from slower destination chargers to rapid and ultra-rapid hubs. The same radius and route tools you use for fuel will work for charging.
Live availability and price
A charger is no use if it is occupied or broken. We are wiring in real-time availability and per-kWh pricing so you can see which nearby points are free and what they cost, not just where they are.
Cost per mile, both ways
For households with one of each, the most useful number is cost per mile. We already compare petrol, diesel and EV running costs in the Insights dashboard; bringing live charging prices in makes that comparison genuinely yours rather than a national average.
